Taylor scores 2nd-place finish with XR Modifieds at Legit Speedway Park
Jeff Taylor got behind the wheel of Kelby Wright’s ONE Salvage No. ONE Dirt Modified at Legit Speedway Park (West Plains, Missouri) on Monday and drove to a runner-up finish in the XR Modified class.
Taylor was among 21 Modified drivers in the pits for the Monday evening show on the 3/8-mile oval. He turned in a seventh-place finish in his heat race, putting the Locust Grove, Arkansas, driver deep in the field for the 20-lap, $750-to-win main event. However, Taylor sliced through the field to advance 17 positions in the A-Main and score a second-place result.
He finished second to Brint Hartwick, with Travis Mosley, Landon Meilke and Spencer Hartwick rounding out the top five.
