EPJ lands fourth-place finish in Lucas Oil stop at 34 Raceway
Taking part in the entirety of Iowa Speedweek, Earl Person Jr. started his week at Marshalltown Speedway (Marshalltown, Iowa) with the Castrol FloRacing Night in America Series on Tuesday afternoon.
Following a sixth-place finish in his heat, EPJ transferred to the main event with a second-place finish in his B-Main. For the $23,023-to-win feature, Pearson Jr. gained six spots to record a 13th-place outing.
For another $23,023-to-win show at Davenport Speedway (Davenport, Iowa) on Wednesday, EPJ sat on the pole of his heat race and finished third to earn a sixth-row starting spot in the A-Main. Being stuck in the middle of the pack, Earl was unable to make up many spots and was scored 16th in the final rundown.
Joining the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) on Friday at 300 Raceway (Farley, Iowa) for the You Call We Haul 50, Earl raced his way into the main event where he finished just outside the Top-10 in 11th.
The four-race week concluded at 34 Raceway (West Burlington, Iowa) on Saturday afternoon where Pearson Jr. topped the qualifying charts before a heat race victory earned him a front-row starting position in the A-Main. For the $15,000-to-win main event, EPJ ran inside the Top-5 for the entirety of the race and ended up fourth at the checkers.
