Mike Marlar competes with Castrol FloRacing Night in America in Hawkeye State

For a pair of Castrol FloRacing Night in America events in the Hawkeye State, Mike Marlar returned to action on Tuesday at Marshalltown Speedway (Marshalltown, Iowa) aboard his Delk Equipment Sales No. 157 Late Model.

After starting the night off on a high note with a heat win, Marlar was an early retiree from the feature. With an eight-lap victory placing him on the second row for the opener, Mike pulled pitside on lap 32 while running eighth.

The following night at Davenport Speedway (Davenport, Iowa), Mike set a new track record in time trials with a blistering 13.321-second lap before placing first in his heat. With $23,023 on the line in the main event, Marlar ran second early but slipped over the turn one cushion on lap 15 that dropped him backwards. He ended up pulling off on lap 27.

Mike sits seventh in the latest Castrol FloRacing Night in America point standings.
