The Month of May is Hot at Circle City Raceway!

On August 19, 1909, the Indianapolis Motor Speedway held its first race of automobiles, setting the stage for some of the most exciting races in history. Fast forward to 2023 and the stage that was set 114 years ago brings us to the 107th running of the most iconic race in the world, The Indianapolis 500. Only 14 miles separates the bricks of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway to the dirt at Circle City Raceway. Although Circle City Raceway is working it’s way into the history books of short track dirt racing, the two tracks share one thing in common; action packed racing and a desire to provide a facility for fans and racers to enjoy for years to come. Circle City Raceway has thrown their hat in the ring for the month of May with some exciting action.

FRIDAY MAY 19th it’s the $10,000 to win CJ RAYBURN TRIBUTE Super Late Models. CJ Rayburn has been considered by many as one of the greatest car builders and mentors of all time. Many of us didn’t know him personally but ALL of us knew his name. He left racing with a benchmark for many to try and achieve. It was conveyed that his passion and desire to succeed was second to none. Just like the race cars he built. Circle City Raceway looks to honor CJ and his friends and family with a great night of racing. Also in action are the racers from the Buckeye State, the BOSS 410 Sprints and the Tony Stewart’s All Star Circuit of Champions TQ Midgets making their debut at the fast 1/4 mile track.

WEDNESDAY MAY 24th and THURSDAY MAY 25th USAC makes its way back to Circle City Raceway as we Salute Our Soldiers for some exciting open wheel sprint car action. Many great competitors, including some of those that have raced the iconic Indy 500, have cut their teeth racing these powerful cars in the dirt. The United States Auto Club (USAC) is one of the sanctioning bodies of auto racing in the United States. Founded in 1955 with headquarters in Speedway, Indiana. USAC is where the likes of Tony Stewart and Jeff Gordon held many checkered flags.
Wednesday’s USAC event is $5000 to win and Thursday USAC event is $10,000 to win. Come see some of the greatest talent on the dirt at Circle City Raceway.

The month of May in Indy is hot. We look forward to seeing everyone at Circle City Raceway…#INtheDirt
