Brian Shirley Charges 15 Positions During Farmer City 74

FARMER CITY, Ill. (May 15, 2023) Finishing up Friday on a Monday, thanks to Mother Nature, Brian Shirley caped a four-track run with an impressive drive from 18th to third during the Farmer City 74 against the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series.
Facing a field of 41 during Monday's continuation, Shirley's fifth-place performance in his Heat Race put him on the pole of the second B-Feature, where he won by nearly a second. Bounding through the field, the Bob Cullen Racing No. 3s ran up to second on Lap 30. Holding silver the next four laps, the slip to third is where he would stay the rest of the 74-lap affair.
Looking back at the weekend's other three destinations, the four-track stretch began at Spoon River Speedway on May 10, where the result was a fourth-place finish after 50 laps. Lincoln Speedway ended sixth in the B-Feature. Both nights were part of the Castrol FloRacing Night in America Tour.
Racing against the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series on Saturday at Fairbury, another run through the B-Feature saw a seven-position gain to finish 13th.
