Making a midweek start in his home state to kick off the second annual Illinois Speedweek, Jason Feger invaded Spoon River Speedway (Banner, Ill.) on Wednesday to pilot his Titan Industries No. 25 Late Model.

Among a stout field of 48 Castrol FloRacing Night in America entries, Feger missed the mark in time trials before placing ninth in his heat, relegating him into a consolation race. Pinned near the tail, Jason fell short of a transfer position into the opener with a 10th-place outing.

For another $23,023-to-win Castrol FloRacing Night in America event on Thursday at Lincoln Speedway (Lincoln, Ill.), Jason dropped two spots in his heat to finish sixth, sending him into a B-Main. Needing to place second or better to make the A-Main, Feger gained four positions but failed to transfer with a fourth-place finish.

On Friday evening at Farmer City Raceway (Farmer City, Ill.) as the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) debuted at the quarter-mile oval for the Farmer City 74, Feger edged his way into the $25,000-to-win A-Main with the fourth-and-transfer spot in his heat. A brief rain shower during consolation races postponed the remainder of the program to Monday, May 15th.

In a field of 43 LOLMDS entries on Saturday at Fairbury Speedway (Fairbury, Ill.) for the FALS Spring Shootout, Jason followed up the 10th-fastest qualifying effort in his group with a sixth-place finish in his heat. Taking the top-three from semis, Feger came one spot shy with a fourth-place outing.

Locked into the 24th-starting position for Monday’s rain-delayed Farmer City 74, Feger was an early retiree on lap 29.
