Gregg Satterlee scores ULMS victory at Lernerville Speedway
INDIANA, Pa. (05/16/23) – Gregg Satterlee scored the Willie and Conda McConnell Memorial victory for the second straight year at Pennsylvania’s Lernerville Speedway in his Satterlee Motorsports No. 22 Keyser Manufacturing / Classic Ink / XR1 Rocket Chassis / Clements Racing Engine Super Late Model.
“It’s a good win for us. We’ve not been getting to race a lot this year with all the rain, but we tried a few things tonight," winner Gregg Satterlee said in Victory Lane. "The racetrack tonight seemed a lot like Firecracker 100 conditions and I’m sure everyone knows that’s not our sweet spot, but we tried some new things tonight and it went in the right direction, so hopefully when we come back in June we got something for them.”
Gregg Satterlee returned to the driver’s seat of his Rocket Chassis No. 22 Super Late Model on Friday afternoon at Lernerville Speedway (Sarver, Pa.) for the Jay’s Automotive United Late Model Series-sanctioned Willie and Conda McConnell Memorial.
Starting on the pole of his heat via his time trial effort, Satterlee outran Daryl Charlier to pick up the eight-lap victory. Rolling off on the fourth row for the feature, Gregg stole the lead from Chub Frank in the middle stages of the 30-lapper and ran away with his second win of the season and second consecutive victory in the memorial race. He banked a $4,000 payday ahead of Alex Ferree, Chub Frank, Mason Zeigler, and Dylan Yoder. The win marked his 19th career ULMS triumph.
