Podium finish at Farmer City Raceway
McKay Wenger returned to Farmer City Raceway (Farmer City, Ill.) on Friday afternoon as he was getting his Popejoy Plumbing No. 42 Late Model dialed in for the upcoming Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) weekend.
With a third-place finish in his heat race placing him on the third row for the $1,000-to-win A-Main, Wenger advanced forward three spots in the 25-lap affair to finish third. He chased Jason Feger and Dillon McCowan to the checkers.
McKay topped the 19-car field in time trials on Saturday at Fairbury Speedway (Fairbury, Ill.) but Mother Nature axed the program before heat races were able to get underway.
