Pair of Top-10 Finishes for Wright
Kelby Wright completed the month of April with a doubleheader of weekend racing action in Arkansas and Missouri.
The team opened festivities on Friday evening at Old No. 1 Speedway (Harrisburg, Ark.) with a $1,000-to-win Sign Tech Modified program. Twenty-six drivers took to the 1/4 -mile oval, and a runner-up finish in his heat race positioned Wright sixth on the feature grid.
He raced in the Top 10 throughout the 20-lap feature before registering a seventh-place finish.
After seeing Saturday's scheduled program at Batesville Motor Speedway (Locust Grove, Ark.) washed away the team slid north to Legit Speedway (West Plains, Mo.) for an Modified Weekly Racing Series Event.
Kelby drew the pole for his heat race, but slid back to a third-place finish, which lined him up sixth on the feature grid. He went on to advance a single spot to finish fifth behind Sawyer Crigler, Dustin Tiger, Shane Kelley, and Devin Murphy.
