Bryan Bernheisel third in Mart 'Coot' Williams Memorial at Georgetown

Bryan Bernheisel made his first start of the season at Georgetown Speedway (Georgteown, Del.) on Thursday afternoon for the Mark ‘Coot’ Williams Memorial.

In a field of 17 cars, Bernheisel timed in fourth-fastet in his group before gaining one spot in his heat to finish third. With $3,026 on the line in the feature, Bryan led the first 20 laps but lost the top spot while trying to get a round a lapped car. He went onto finish third, chasing Ross Robinson and Tyler Emory to the checkers.

On Friday afternoon at Bedford Speedway (Bedford, Pa.), Bryan’s eighth-to-fourth run in his heat placed him on the second row for the feature. After a loose air cleaner forced Bernheisel to pit while running in the top-five, Bryan charged from 20th to salvage a 12th-place finish.

Saturday's scheduled event at Port Royal Speedway (Port Royal, Pa.) fell victim to Mother Nature.
