Ryan Unzicker opens 2023 season at I-55

With Mother Nature axing the annual running of the Illini 100 at Farmer City Raceway (Farmer City, Ill.), Ryan Unzicker made a last minute decision to kick off his 2023 season at Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55 (Pevely, Mo.) on Saturday afternoon aboard his RJR Transportation No. 24 Late Model.

With passing points in heat races setting the grid for the feature, Ryan was taken out by another competitor on the opening lap that led to an early exit. He was a scratch from the 25-lap feature.
