Martin competes in Peach State Classic at Senoia
On Friday evening, Parker Martin entered his Martin General Contractors No. 6JR Late Model into competition at Senoia Raceway (Senoia, Ga.) for the Peach State Classic.
Drawing 52 Late Model for the two-day event, bad luck struck in Parker's heat race as he was caught up in an incident on lap 2, causing him to retire. With too much damage to his Longhorn Chassis, Martin was unable to start in his consolation race and scratched for the evening.
For the main event on Saturday, Martin qualified 18th-fastest before making up one spot in his heat race to finish 8th. With one more chance to make the $53,053-to-win feature, Martin finished sixth in his consolation race, three spots out of a transfer position.
