Payton Freeman attends Peach State Classic at Senoia
Friday night found Payton Freeman and Team 22 Inc. in action at Senoia Raceway (Senoia, Ga.) for the second annual Peach State Classic.
With 52 Late Models on the grounds for the doubleheader event with the Castrol FloRacing Night in America miniseries, Freeman was ran over by another competitor in his heat race, relegating him to seventh. Needing to place second or better in his B-Main to make Friday’s $20,000-to-win prelim, Payton pulled off on the sixth circuit.
On Saturday, Payton’s eighth-place finish dropped him into one of three consolation races for one final shot at the $53,053-to-win Peach State Classic. Taking the top-two, Freeman fell short with a seventh-place outing.
