With a massive field of 70 World of Outlaws Case Late Model Series entries on the grounds for the three-day event, Overton topped the speed charts in time trials with a blistering 14.462-second lap before placing first in his heat. Receiving the pole for the feature via the redraw along with a $500 bonus from SRI Performance, Brandon faded in the second half of the 40-lapper to finish fourth. He followed Mike Marlar, Shane Clanton, and Trent Ivey across the line with Tim McCreadie coming in fifth.

For Thursday’s $15,000-to-win prelim, Brandon grabbed the third-and-final transfer spot in his heat, which positioned him on the eighth row for the feature. Regaining his starting spot late in the race, Overton settled with a 15th-place outing.

With preliminary results from Wednesday and Thursday placing him on the front row of his heat on Saturday, Overton’s runner-up finish positioned him on the fourth row for the $25,000-to-win World Finals finale. Dropping four spots in the 50-lap affair, Brandon crossed the line in 11th.
