Pearson fifth in DTWC at Portsmouth; fifth in LOLMDS points race

Drawing 68 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) entries for the two-day series finale, Pearson stopped the clocked third-fastest in his group before placing first in his heat.
Earning the sixth-starting position for Saturday’s $100,000-to-win Dirt Track World Championship, Earl mounted a late charge in the final 30 circuits of the 100-lapper to finish fifth. He trailed Garrett Smith, Tim McCreadie, Mike Marlar, and Hudson O’Neal to the checkers.
Earl finished fifth in the final LOLMDS point standings.
