Spooky 50 Takes Putnam to Louisiana

Josh Putnam made a rare trip to Louisiana over the weekend for the 29th annual Spooky 50 at Super Bee Speedway (Chatham, La.). The doubleheader opened on Friday with a $3,000-to-win Super Late Model program.

Josh set fast time in qualifications and then won his heat race to lock into the pole position for the feature. He battled in the Top 5 throughout the feature before crossing the finish line in third behind Billy Moyer Jr. and Cade Dillard.

In Saturday night's finale, Josh qualified sixth fastest in time trials before advancing from third-to-second in his heat race to lock into the fourth-starting spot for the finale.

During the course of the 50-lap finale, he advanced to a runner-up finish behind Billy Moyer Jr., with Jon Mitchell, Tanner Kellick, and Bubba Mullins completing the Top-5 finishers.
