Tanner Kellick finishes 12th in Gumbo Nationals opener at Greenville

With 31 Late Models on the grounds for the opening round of the 16th annual Gumbo Nationals, Tanner came in fifth in his heat before placing third in his heat. Starting the $4,000-to-win prelim in 19th, Kellick advanced forward seven spots in the 30-lap affair to register a 12th-place finish.

On Saturday, Kellick’s second-place finish in his heat race positioned him on the third row for the Gumbo Nationals finale. With $8,000 on the line, Tanner scored a 13th-place outing in the 40-lapper.
