Marlar records fourth-place finish in The Night Before the Jackson at Brownstown

With 32 Late Models entered for the doubleheader weekend, Mike laid down third-fastest time in his group before placing third in his heat. Shortly after the final heat race wrapped up, continuous rain showers forced officials to postpone the prelim to Saturday afternoon.
Starting in ninth, Marlar gained five spots in the 40-lapper to register a fourth-place finish. He followed Hudson O’Neal, Josh Rice, and Daulton Wilson across the line with Spencer Hughes coming in fifth.
Later Saturday night for the 43rd annual Jackson 100, Mike’s fourth-place finish in his heat race pinned him on the eighth row for the $20,000-to-win finale. Wheeling into the Top-10, Marlar gained eight spots in the 10-lap affair to finish seventh.
