With 48 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) entries on the grounds for the $7,000-to-win prelim, Johnny took part in his heat race but was a scratch from his consolation event. Stormy turned back a charging Jonathan Davenport in his heat race to pick up the win. With passing points pinning him on the ninth row for the $7,000-to-win preliminary feature, Stormy gained two spots to finish 16th.
With engine issues sidelining Johnny for the remainder of the weekend, Stormy timed in 16th-fastest in his group on Friday before placing seventh in his heat. Needing to place fourth or better in his B-Main to make the A-Main, Stormy retired on the second circuit.
Stormy was a scratch from Saturday’s program.
