COMP Cams Super Dirt Series Set for 50th Annual Louisiana State Championship

CONWAY, Ark. (09/19/22) – The COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) presented by Lucas Oil is set for a pivotal weekend of action this Friday and Saturday during the 50th annual Louisiana State Championship at Boothill Speedway.

Not only is there over $12,000 in first-place money on the line, but the tightest point’s battle in series history takes center stage with just five nights of racing remaining on the 2022 docket.

“This is a huge weekend for our drivers. We currently have five racers with a mathematically shot at the championship, and that’s pretty dang cool,” CCSDS CEO Chris Sullivan said. “Throw in the fact that we have a pair of $6,000-to-win races on tap this weekend at Boothill Speedway, and we’re all excited for the weekend to get here.”

Entering the doubleheader weekend, Brian Rickman is the Midwest Sheet Metal Marked Man with a 66-point lead atop the series standings over Morgan Bagley with B.J. Robinson 78 markers back in third, Kyle Beard 115 points out of the lead in fourth, and current Midwest Sheet Metal Rookie of the Year point leader, Tyler Stevens 243 points removed from the top spot in fifth.

The COMP Cams Super Dirt Series continues its point’s this weekend – September 23-24 – at Boothill Speedway (Greenwood, La.) with the 50th annual Louisiana State Championship. The weekend is headlined by a complete $6,000-to-win / $400-to-start program each night for the CCSDS contingent.

The tire rule for the event is a Hoosier 1350 on all four corners with a Hoosier 1600 white-dot and LM40 right rear option.

Friday night’s action includes the Frazier Accounting Crate Late Models ($1,000-to-win), Pro Mods ($600-to-win), and Sportsters ($200-to-win), while Saturday’s action includes LED 4 Life Limited Mods ($1,000-to-win), Granger Equipment Factory Stocks ($1,000-to-win), and Front Wheel Drives ($300-to-win).

On Friday, September 23 the pits open at 4:30 p.m. CST with grandstands at 6 p.m. Racing action is slated for 7:30 p.m.
