Splitting the 66-car field in three groups, Ford earned the ninth-starting position for his 20-lap prelim via his qualifying effort. After running as high as fourth, Jensen suffered a broken right-front brake line that dropped him to 11th when the checkered flag flew.

On Thursday, Jensen edged his way into his $12,000-to-win preliminary with the fifth-and-final transfer spot in his heat. Losing one spot in the 25-lap affair, Ford crossed the line in 18th.

For Friday’s preliminary night, Ford missed a transfer spot in his heat race and B-Main, ending his evening early.

On Saturday afternoon, Jensen recorded a seventh-place finish in his heat, relegating him into the B-Main for one last shot at the $55,000-to-win World 100. Needing to place fourth or better, Ford fell short with a 12th-place finish.
