Restarting in 24th after pitting during the rain delay on lap 14 back in June, Earl completed 19 laps before pulling in. He was credited with a 22nd-place finish.

As the 52nd annual World 100 weekend kicked off on Thursday with a pair of $12,000-to-win preliminary features, Pearson edged his way into his prelim with the fifth-and-final transfer spot in his heat. Moving forward five positions in the 25-lap affair, Earl crossed the line in 13th.

On Friday, Earl followed up a fifth-place finish in his heat race with a 16th-place finish in his 25-lap prelim.

With preliminary points from Thursday and Friday placing Pearson on the front row of his heat race on Saturday, Earl secured his spot into the $55,000-to-win World 100 with a 15-lap flag-to-flag victory. Starting in sixth, Pearson visited the infield pit area on lap 40 and ended up retiring 24 circuits later on lap 64.
