With a second-place finish in his heat race placing him on the third row for the opening night feature, Billy jumped up two spots in the 30-lapper to register a third-place finish. He trailed Morgan Bagley and Kyle Beard to the checkers.

With the Lucas Oil LateModel Midwest Racing Association (MLRA) on Friday at Lucas Oil Speedway (Wheatland, Mo.), Moyer Jr. secured his spot into the $7,000-to-win Ron Jenkins Memorial with a fourth-to-first run in his heat race. Starting in fourth, Billy suffered mechanical issues while running in third on lap 13 that forced him to retire.

For the second annual Wiener Nationals on Sunday at Randolph County Raceway (Moberly, Mo.), Billy laid down the third-fastest lap in his group before picking up a heat race win. Unable to turn back a charging Tony Jackson Jr. in the feature, Moyer Jr. raced to a runner-up finish with Chad Simpson, Aaron Marrant, and Mason Oberkramer completing the Top-5 finishers.
