Myles Moos soars to first win of 2022 at Farmer City

In what has been a season plagued by bad luck for the Illinois racer, Myles Moos was able to turn things around on Friday night with his first victory of the 2022 campaign. (Rocky Ragusa image)

He piloted his RILCO Lubricants & Services / Renegade Performance Fuels & Lubricants No. 84 ME Realty / Illini Pharmacy Services / Barry Wright Icon / Pro Power Racing Engine Super Late Model to the triumph at Farmer City Raceway.

“If it can go wrong this year, it seems like it has, but on Friday night we put everything together and got the win. This one (win) was special. Although it didn’t happen at Lincoln, this win was for Denny O‘Donoghue and the entire family. You will forever be missed and thank you for supporting me and allowing me to continue to run the #84. It means more than the world to me!” Moos shared. “We’ll go after our second win of the year this Thursday at Macon (Speedway) during the Herald & Review 100.

“Thanks so much to everyone, who supports this program through the thick and the thin.”

Myles Moos returned to action on Friday afternoon with a visit to Farmer City (Ill.) Raceway to pilot his RILCO Lubricants & Services No. 84 Late Model in a Weekly Racing Series Event.

Completing a clean sweep of the program, Myles followed up the fastest lap in time trials with a heat race win and a flag-to-flag victory in the feature. He claimed $1,000 ahead of a hard-charging Ryan Unzicker with Jeffrey Ledford, Donny Walden, and Hunt Gossum rounding out the Top 5.

On Saturday evening at Fairbury (Ill.) Speedway, Moos’ third-place finish in his heat race placed him on the fourth row for the $2,500-to-win FALS Cup A-Main.

After slipping back as far as 10th early in the main event, Myles rebounded to a fourth-place finish in the 30-lap affair. He followed Jay Sparks, Mike Spatola, and Ryan Unzicker across the line with Kevin Weaver finishing fifth.
