Austin Takes Part in Three-Race Weekend; Wins at Eriez

North Carolina Modified standout, Austin Holcombe, has launched a brand-new cyber home at www.AustinHolcombe.com which is developed and maintained by MyRacePass.com Marketing & Website Services.

Last weekend found Austin recording his 15th win of the year. He took his Prime Electrical Solutions No. 8A Owens Construction / Lethal Chassis Modified to Victory Lane at Pennsylvania’s Eriez Speedway.

“We’ve been struggling the past few weeks with nothing but bad luck. Finally on Sunday night at Eriez (Speedway), we got the monkey off our back and picked up the win,” Holcombe said. “Hopefully we can keep the momentum rolling this week at County Line (Raceway) and Potomac (Speedway).”

Austin Holcombe headed north on Friday to kick off a three-race weekend. His festivities kicked off at Port Royal (Pa.) Speedway with a Mid-Atlantic Modified Series event.

With 30 entries in the pit area, Austin started third in his heat race, and was battling for the lead before sliding high, which caused him to slip back to fifth. He rebounded to finish third to earn the 11th position on the starting grid for the feature.

In the caution-free, main event he clawed his way to an eighth-place finish.

On Saturday the team traveled west to Sharon Speedway (Hartford, Ohio) for the Renegades of Dirt event. Austin qualified fourth before drawing the sixth-starting spot for the dash.

A sixth-place finish in the dash positioned Austin sixth on the feature grid. On a bottom dominant track, Holcombe was only able to manage a sixth-place finish in the feature.

The weekend drew to a close on Sunday evening at Pennsylvania's Eriez Speedway for another Renegades of Dirt event. Austin was looking to turn his look around, and he would achieve just that.

With a strong field of 31 Modified competitors on hand Austin finished second in the dash to lock into the second-starting spot for the feature.

Main event action found him charging to the $2,000 victory, which marked his 15th of the year.

He was followed across the finish line by Richard Michael Jr., Dan Davies, Nate Young, and Joel Watson.
