With 46 Late Models entered for a $6,000-to-win prelim to kick off the three-day event, Erb followed up the fifth-fastest lap in his group with a second-place finish in his heat. Moving forward one spot in the 30-lap preliminary feature, Tyler steered his Best Performance Motorsports No. 1 entry to a sixth-place finish.
For a pair of heat races on Friday, Tyler charged from the sixth-starting position in his first heat to pick up the win. Improving one spot in the second round, Erb posted a second-place finish, which postioned him sixth in overall passing points.
With a fourth-place finish in Saturday’s dash placing him on the second row for the $50,000-to-win USA Nationals finale, Tyler Erb clawed forward one spot in the 100-lap affair to register a third-place finish. He followed Jonathan Davenport and Chris Madden across the line with Ricky Weiss and Brandon Sheppard completing the Top-5 finishers.
