Spencer Diercks
Fifth-place finish in Modified at Cedar County Raceway
Spencer Diercks got an early start to his race week with a visit to Cedar County Raceway (Tipton, Iowa) on Wednesday to pilot his Lindquist Ford No. 29 IMCA Modified.
After picking up a heat race win from the second row, Diercks passed four cars in the 25-lap affair to finish fifth. He trailed Matt Werner, Drew Janssen, Brad Dierks, and Justin Kay to the checkers.
On Friday, Spencer invaded Lee County Speedway (Donnellson, Iowa) to pull double duty in his Super Late Model and Modified. In a field of 32 Hoker Trucking Series entries, Diercks edged his way into the $3,000-to-win A-Main with a sixth-place finish in his heat after slipping over the cushion. Clawing forward one spot in the 25-lap affair, Spencer crossed the line in 12th.
He was leading the Modified feature when he broke a j-bar, bringing a disappointing end to his night.
On Sunday, Diercks joined the World of Outlaws Case Late Model Series at Red Cedar Speedway (Menomonie, Wis.) for the $10,000 prize. Following an eighth-place finish in his heat, Spencer edged his way into the show with a third-place finish in his B-Main. He pulled off on the 10th circuit of the feature.
