Drawing 24 Late Models for the event co-sanctioned with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS), Vandenbergh timed in 15th-fastest before placing fifth in his heat. With $10,000 on the line in the feature, Kolby was scored 15th when the checkered flag flew.

Back in action on Saturday after taking Friday night off, Vandenbergh visited Lucas Oil Speedway (Wheatland, Mo.) for the $15,000-to-win CMH Diamond Nationals. With the third-and-final transfer spot in his B-Main pinning him on the 11th row for the A-Main, Kolby clawed forward five positions in the 50-lap affair to finish 17th.

Sunday’s Lucas Oil MLRA sanctioned event at Randolph County Raceway (Moberly, Mo.) fell victim to Mother Nature.

Kolby is currently third in the latest MLRA point standings.
