Pair of eighth-place finishes with LOLMDS at Tri-City and Wheatland

With a fifth-place finish in his heat race pinning him on the seventh row for the opening night feature, Earl gained two spots in the heat-shortened 30-lapper to finish 11th.
The following night at Tri-City Speedway (Granite City, Ill.), Pearson topped the 33-car field in time trials before picking up a heat race win. Starting on the pole for the NAPA Know How 50 A-Main, Earl hung onto a Top-10 finish with an eighth-place outing in the 50-lap affair.
For the $15,000-to-win CMH Diamond Nationals on Saturday at Lucas Oil Speedway (Wheatland, Mo.), Earl followed up a heat victory with an eighth-place finish in the main event.
Earl remains in sixth in the latest LOLMDS point standings.
