Baron Roofing presents The Inaugural Canadian GRAND Nationals

THOROLD, ONTARIO (July 13th, 2022) … Something special is coming to Merrittville Speedway. Mark your calendars for Monday August 1st, 2022, when Merrittville Speedway presents for the first time ever, the Canadian GRAND Nationals

All 5 of Merrittville Speedway’s Bobcat of Hamilton Weekly Racing Series divisions will be put on centre stage for the prestigious Civic Holiday Monday show. With border restrictions still in place and travelling teams presented with restrictions entering Canada, Merrittville Speedway will give back to its weekly divisions that have built, the historic speedway’s 71-year history.

The Corr/Pak Merchandising 358 Modifieds will compete for the areas richest paying race, $4000 to win. The Right Choice Auto & Leisure DIRTcar Sportsman and Hoosier Stocks will battle it out for $2000 to win each. While the Rona Doidge Building Centres Mod Lites will contend for $1000 to win. This event will also be Merrittville's Insta-Panels Duel on the Dirt combined race for the Vansickle Pet Valu/PV on the Lane 4 cylinders .

“All classes are an important part of our racing program at Merrittville,” states owner Don Spiece. “Times are tough for everyone, and less competitors are travelling, so what better year to make the popular civic Monday show, one for our weekly divisions.” Sponsors are welcome to come aboard this history making event, as we try to get all classes to $2000.00 to win minimum.

Drivers won’t be the only ones with the chance to win big at the Grand Nationals. One lucky fan will receive $1000, just for being in attendance. As for the kids in attendance, they will be entered for a chance to win 1000 candies. Spread the word and drivers get ready for the GRAND Nationals, coming to Merrittville Speedway, Monday August. 1st.
