Joe Godsey races to third-place finish with Hell Tour at Haubstadt

In a field of 33 DIRTcar Late Models, Roth failed to qualify for the $10,000-to-win A-Main while Joe Godsey was forced to take a provisional after an early exit in his B-Main. Improving seven spots in the 50-lap affair, Joe recorded a 12th-place outing.
On Sunday afternoon at Tri-State Speedway (Haubstadt, Ind.), Godsey followed up the second-fastest time in his group with a heat race win. Scoring his best finish of the tour in the feature, Joe raced to a third-place run. He followed Bobby Pierce and Payton Freeman across the line. Jeff charged from the 10th row to cross the line in 14th in the 50-lapper.
Joe has climbed to fifth in the latest DIRTcar Summer Nationals point standings.
