Drake Troutman visits Lernerville Speedway for Firecracker 100

Thursday night saw Drake Troutman return to action at Lernerville Speedway (Lernerville, Pa.) as the Firecracker 100 weekend kicked off with a pair of preliminary features. (Heath Lawson photo)

Drawing a stout field of 54 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) entries, Troutman edged his way into the opening night feature with the third-and-final transfer spot in his heat. With $6,000 on the line, Drake was credited with a 22nd-place outing after pulling off on the 16th circuit.

For another $6,000-to-win prelim on Friday, Drake came one spot short of a transfer position in his heat with a fourth-place finish, transferring him into the B-Main. Taking the top-two, Troutman logged a seventh-place outing.

On Saturday evening, Troutman’s sixth-place finish in his heat relegated him into one of three consolation events for one last shot at the $50,000-to-win Firecracker 100. Needing to place second or better, Drake fell one spot shy with a third-place finish.
