Chris Ferguson finishes 11th in Firecracker 100

Drawing 54 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) entries, Ferguson gained two spots in his heat race to grab the third-and-final transfer spot into the preliminary feature. With $6,000 on the line, Chris passed two cars in the 30-lapper to finish 14th.

On Friday, Ferguson slipped back to a seventh-place finish in his heat, relegating him into the B-Main. Needing to place second or better to make the $6,000-to-win A-Main, Chris recorded a fourth-place outing.

For the Firecracker 100 finale on Saturday, Chris locked his spot into the $50,000-to-win A-Main with a third-place finish in his heat. Rolling off on the seventh row, Ferguson inched forward three spots in the 100-lap affair to finish 11th.
