OCRS Sprints set for inaugural visit to Lake Ozark Speedway

By John Rittenoure - TULSA, Okla. (June 27, 2022) - The AmeriFlex / OCRS IMCA Sprint Cars will make their first ever visit to Lake Ozark Speedway this weekend for the 2nd annual Prelude to the Stars.

Beginning on Saturday and concluding on Sunday, the two-day show will feature the POWRi 410 Outlaw Sprint League, AmeriFlex / OCRS IMCA Sprint Cars, POWRi Midwest Mods and Pure Stocks.

POWRi 305 sprints will be joining the OCRS IMCA 360 and 305 sprints for this show. Each day will be a complete show for the OCRS paying $1,000-to-win and $250 to start each night. All Oklahoma teams will receive a free pit pass on Sunday.

Blake Edwards of Claremore, Oklahoma leads the points race with one victory and is one of 10 different winners that have emerged after 12 nights of racing, Steven Shebester of Mustang, Oklahoma and Tanner Conn of Oklahoma City are the only repeat winners with 2 victories each.

Rees Moran of Tulsa and Broken Arrow’s Terry Easum sit 2nd and 3rd in points and will be hoping to gain ground on Edwards this weekend.

Times: Pit Gates open at 2 p.m., Grandstand opens at 5, Driver draw 4:30-5:30 (draw fee $20), Drivers meeting 6, Hot laps 6:30, Racing starts at 7.
