Joseph Joiner Embarks on LOLMDS Double Race Weekend; Debuts at 411

Joseph Joiner and the Hunt The Front gang kicked off a Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) doubleheader on Saturday night at the Red Clay at Woodstock – Historic Dixie Speedway (Woodstock, Ga.) with the 2021 edition of the Dixie Shootout.

With 39 entries in the pits, Joiner finished fourth in his heat race to earn the 13th-starting spot for the feature. Against the best drivers in the nation, where he started is where he would finish as Joseph crossed the finish line in 13th in the $15,000-to-win feature.

On Sunday evening the action shifted north to Rome (Ga.) Speedway for the $10,000-to-win Rome Showdown. Twenty-six Super Late Model pilots entered the event, and a fourth-place finish in his heat race promoted Joseph to the feature in the 15th-starting spot. He advanced three spots in the 40-lapper to register a 12th-place finish.

After a one-night break on Monday, the team competed at 411 Motor Speedway (Seymour, Tenn.) on Tuesday night as Joseph made his debut at the facility. A sixth-place finish in his heat race positioned Joiner 18th on the starting grid for the $20,000-to-win Castrol FloRacing Late Model Night in America feature, but he was an early retiree in the finale and was credited with a 17th-place finish.
