No Luck at BRP at HTF
Hunt The Front kicked off their 2022 season on Monday and Tuesday with a Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) Winternationals doubleheader at Bubba Raceway Park (Ocala, Fla.). While anticipation was high to get the season underway, luck would not be on the team’s side. (Josh James Artwork image)
On Monday night 47 drivers registered for action at the tricky, 3/8-mile oval and Joseph managed the 12th-fastest time in qualifications despite a brake caliper issue on his No. 10. The rest of the night he found himself one spot shy of a transfer with both a fourth-place finish in his heat race and a third-place finish in his b-main. As a result, his night came to an early end.
The team returned on Tuesday night but struggles in prelim action, courtesy of electrical issues, resulted in Joiner scratching from the balance of the program following his heat race.
He’ll look for better luck when LOLMDS action resumes on Thursday at All-Tech Raceway.
