Double Header Weekend Contest

THOROLD, ONTARIO (June 7, 2022) … Another big doubleheader weekend is planned for this coming weekend at “Canada’s Oldest Dirt Track”, Merrittville Speedway. Like,share and tag one friend of this article off of Merrittville Speedway's Facebook Page and your name will be entered into a contest that will be drawn Saturday night. Three winners will be drawn, those three winners will get free admission to Sunday's Monster of Merrittville and will be our free style judges

Saturday, June 11 will feature the return of racing legend Ken Schrader to Merrittville as the Fenton, MO driver will be behind the wheel of a 358 Modified owned by 2021 CAA Niagara Wall of Fame inductee “Mr. Small Block” Pete Bicknell. Joining the appearance by Ken Schrader, the Action Sprint Tour Fueled by Pinty’s Crate Sprint Car Series will be making their first of three appearances at the historic Thorold, Ontario oval. The DIRTcar Sportsman and the 4 Cylinders will also be on the racing card presented by Vansickle Pet Valu and PV on the Lane. The Saturday, June 11 card will also feature the annual Best Appearing Dog Contest as well as the second School Bus Race of the season.

Pit gates will open at 5 pm, grandstands open at 5:30 pm, and racing will get underway at 7:00 pm Saturday night.

The Monsters of Merrittville will take place on Sunday, June 12. Gates will open at 11:30 am and the program will get underway at 1:00 pm. The FREE pre-race party will take place from 11:30 am-12:30 pm. RONA/Doidge Building Centres will be presenting the show that is accelerated by 97.7 HTZ-FM featuring Train Wreck, Sabotage, and More! Plus, a Pro Rider FMX, as well as School Bus Racing and Monster Truck Rides! Tickets are $30 each and can be purchased by visiting www.merrittvillespeedway.com, at Big Scoop Ice Cream or at the front gate.
