Following the third-fastest lap in his time trial group, Thornton Jr. secured his spot into the preliminary feature with a second-place finish in his heat. With $15,000 on the line, Ricky clawed forward two spots in the 30-lapper to finish fourth. He trailed Devin Moran, Jonathan Davenport, and Gregg Satterlee to the checkers with Earl Pearson Jr. coming in fifth.

On Saturday, Ricky passed three cars in his heat race to pick up the victory. Rolling off on the second row for the $50,000-to-win Historic 100 finale, Thornton faded three positions in the 100-lap affair to register a sixth-place finish.

Ricky is currently fourth in the latest LOLMDS point standings.
