(SODUS, NY) – One of the more anticipated CRSA Sprints series kickoffs in recent history is set to kick off on Friday night in Susquehanna, PA at the same venue that started the 2021 Series. Penn Can Speedway will start a 17-race schedule that will span the states of New York and Pennsylvania to crown the 2022 Super Gen Products with Champion Power Equipment CRSA Sprints champion.

One of the favorites going into Friday night will be Spencer, NY’s Kyle Pierce, who had a breakout season with the CRSA Sprints last year. A breakout season that started with his first career CRSA win at his home track Penn Can Speedway. Pierce would go on to collect another win at Utica-Rome, a top 5 points finish and Rookie of the Year honors.

Four-time and defending CRSA Sprints champion Jeff Trombley hasn’t forgotten about that night in May of 2021. Trombley had made the potential two-for-one winning move before an untimely caution relegated Trombley back to third for the ensuing restart. He will be back for unfinished business behind the wheel of Warren Alexson’s No. 3a.

Trombley got redemption in July, winning in CRSA’s second trip of three to Penn Can in 2021.

“We took advantage of a good starting spot and the guys got the car really good- probably the best I’ve ever had here (Penn Can),” said Trombley in July while standing in McDonald’s Victory Lane.

Penn Can Speedway was also particularly good to Dana Wagner in 2021, with Wagner never finishing outside the Top 5 in all three starts. Tyler Emmons was also a pleasant surprise Top 5 runner in the Fall Penn Can Speedway stop last year.

“Get your can to ‘The Can’” on Friday night and see the start of what promised to be another incredible season of winged action with the CRSA Sprint Cars.
