Pearson Jr snags Top-10 finish at Hagerstown
Papich Racing was back on the road with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) on Saturday at Hagerstown Speedway (Hagerstown, Md.) after Friday’s Hillbilly 100 at Tyler County Speedway (Middlebourne, W.V.) fell victim to Mother Nature. After passing four three cars in his heat race to grab the fourth-and-final transfer spot, Earl Pearson Jr. advanced forward six spots in the feature to finish seventh. (Heath Lawson photo)
The following night at Port Royal Speedway (Port Royal, Pa.) for the River Valley 40, Earl topped the 37-car field in time trials before placing first in his heat. Earning the pole position for the $10,000-to-win A-Main, Pearson Jr. was collected with another competitor on lap 25 while battling for the lead that sidelined him for the remainder for the 40-lapper.
