Vardell Riding Momentum Heading to Laurens County Speedway With the Carolina Sprint Tour
Inside Line Promotions – TAYLORSVILLE, N.C. (July 31, 2019) – Sean Vardell is ranked fifth in the TriboDyn Lubricants Carolina Sprint Tour championship standings midway through the season.
“We’ve had a pretty decent year,” he said. “We’ve had a lot of success in the heat races, but it seems that something always goes wrong during the A Main. Whether it’s something broke or wasn’t put on correctly, it never seems to fail.”
Last Saturday he earned his career-best finish at 311 Speedway in Pine Hall, N.C., where he came home fifth. He’s also racked up a handful of other top-10 finishes.
“The competition has been pretty solid all year,” Vardell said. “We’ve had about 16 cars regularly and one race we even had 20 some. It’s awesome that we’ve been able to see some traction and growth within the series.”
Vardell will next compete at Laurens County Speedway in Laurens, S.C., this Saturday. He’s expecting there will be close to 16 cars making an appearance.
“I’m excited to get to this track,” he said. “It’s a short track and I like those better. I feel like those tracks are more dependent on the driver than the equipment you have in the car. Hopefully we can do something good and maybe end up in Victory Lane.”
