STOREY OVER IN SUPER LATE QUALITY FREIGHT RATE 50
Wisconsin Dells WI-The Storey Family is a racing family from Burlington WI who campaign three cars on the Wisconsin short tracks in the summer for sons James, Clayton and Father Chris. James who is running for Rookie of the Year in the Alive for 5 Series in Super Late Models had a rough weekend to say the least. Friday night James made his debut at Madison International Speedway in the Alive for 5 Series only to have a valve break in the motor during practice so Father Chris who just finished his car and was set to run with his son James at Dells Raceway Park Saturday night had the second car along as the family planned to leave MIS and head straight to the Dells from the Madison show rolled out his car from the trailer and James went out and qualified it into the Capital 100 after only a couple laps to shake it down. The night went well as James finished both 50 lap events won by Luke Fenhaus on the lead lap. Then Saturday rolled around and Father Chris let James drive his car at the Dells as well while he performed the crew chief duties, unfortunately with ten laps to go James and Barret Polhemus of Wimberly, Texas got tangled coming off turn four sending both cars into the front stretch wall and Storey flipped over the top of Pulhemus barrel rolling down the front straight away. Fortunately both drivers were unharmed in the incident, but the Storey Family car was a total loss.
