Fourth-place finish in North-South 100 at Florence Speedway

With Thursday’s prelim falling to Mother Nature, Ricky followed up the fourth-fastest time in his group on Friday with a second-place finish in his heat. With $5,000 on the line in the feature, Thornton dropped two spots to finish sixth.
For the finale on Saturday, Thornton secured his spot into the $75,000-to-win North-South with a runner-up finish in his heat race. Advancing forward seven positions in the 100-lap affair, Ricky reeled in a fourth-place finish. He followed Jonathan Davenport, Brandon Overton, and Dale McDowell across the line with Mike Marlar coming in fifth.
Ricky sits in third in the latest LOLMDS point standings.
