Sixth-place finish in Buckeye Spring 50 at Atomic

After Mother Nature moved Friday’s event to Sunday and axed Saturday night’s Indiana Icebreaker, Ricky Thornton Jr. was one of 31 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) entries in the pit area at Atomic Speedway (Chillicothe, Ohio) for the Buckeye Spring 50. Following the 10th-fastest time in his group, Thornton Jr. passed four cars in his heat race to pick up the win.
