Stevens competes in CCSDS opener at Boothill Speedway
Tyler Stevens raced in a field of 31 Super Late Model drivers at Greenwood, Louisiana’s Boothill Speedway on Saturday as the 2024 COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) season got underway.
Stevens opened the fifth annual Ronny Adams Memorial by turning in the second-quickest time in his group qualifying session with a 14.494-second lap on the quarter-mile oval. He went on to grab victory in his heat race aboard his Boomland No. 2T machine.
Stevens began the 40-lap, $10,000-to-win A-Main from the fourth spot, but after a last-minute shock change the team was unable to get the settings correct and Stevens settled for a 19th-place finish.
Friday’s slated $5,000-to-win opener at Boothill was rained out.
