Stevens Continues Tough Luck at Super Bee 100

TLP Motorsports and Tyler Stevens invaded Super Bee Speedway (Chatham, La.) on Friday to being their pursuit of the $50,000 top prize in the Super Bee 100.

Stevens started the night behind the eight ball. Due to not being in attendance for qualifying for the 61-car field the night prior, he was forced to start of a heat race. He started 10th and advanced to a fifth-place finish, which left him two spots short of locking into Saturday night’s finale.

As a result, he started fourth in a Saturday night B-Main. He advanced to the second spot early in the consolation event and looked to be on his way to earning a transfer spot before a blown power steering line sidelined him from the remainder of the B-Main and the night’s action.

“We got to rolling pretty good in that B-Main, and I felt good about my car, but then the power steering line blew. We just can’t seem to catch any luck here lately with what seems like one part failure after another,” Stevens said. “We’ll go through this hot rod and get ready for the next one.”
