Emory tops ULMS event at Williams Grove, claims $4,000
Tyler Emory returned to the driver’s seat of his Total Machine LLC No. 72 Late Model on Friday afternoon at Williams Grove Speedway (Mechanicsburg, Pa.) for the Jay’s Automotive United Late Model Series (ULMS) sanctioned contest.
Starting on the pole of the feature via preliminary events, Emory rebounded after an early slipup with a flag-to-flag victory in the 20-lap, $4,000-to-win feature. He captured his first win of the season and third career ULMS triumph ahead of Justin Weaver, Drake Troutman, Ryan Montgomery, and Matt Sponaugle.
Saturday's program at Port Royal Speedway (Port Royal, Pa.) was cancelled by track officials after persistent wet weather plagued the area.
