Cosner scores Top-10 finish with World of Outlaws at Port Royal

Friday night found Matt Cosner in action at Port Royal Speedway (Port Royal, Pa.) to take part in the doubleheader weekend with the World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series. With 43 Late Models entered for the Huey Wilcoxon Memorial, Matt recorded a seventh-place finish in his heat race, transferring him into the B-Main for another shot at the opening night feature. Locking in the Top-3, Cosner fell short with a fifth-place outing.

For the Billy Vacek Memorial on Saturday, Cosner laid down the second fastest time in his group before placing second in his heat behind Rick Eckert. Receiving the fifth-starting position for the $15,000-to-win A-Main via the redraw, Cosner faded four spots in the talent-laden field to finish ninth. (Todd Battin photo)
