2nd Place Finish in Battle at the Bullring at Humboldt

Michael kicked off his 2018 season this past weekend with his annual trip to the Battle at the Bullring at the Humboldt Speedway in Humboldt, KS.

The three day event kicked off Thursday night with 120 BMods running a pair of qualifying heat races. Michael started 7th and raced his way to third in both heats on the opening night.

Friday night another pair of heats were run with Michael falling out of one of them and winning the other from his third starting spot.

After the passing points were all calculated, Michael sat 16th overall and started 4th in Saturday night's b-main. He raced to a 2nd place finish in the b, locking himself into the 14th starting spot for the night's $8,500 to win main event.

During the 50-lapper, Michael worked his way forward lap after lap and charged his way into the second spot late in the race. He was able to challenge for the lead at times, but settled in for a very impressive second place finish, earning hard charger honors in the process.
