Michael Truscott Records First Career Modified Victory at Rice Lake; Wins in Midwest Mod at Eagle Valley
Michael competed at three Western Wisconsin ovals this past weekend and came home with a pair of victories for his efforts. Friday night, the team made their way to the Red Cedar Speedway in Menomonie, WI and after falling out of his Modified heat race, he charged from 12th to 5th in the feature. In the Midwest Modifieds, he won his heat race from 4th and then started 7th and charged his way to a solid runner up finish in the main event. Saturday night, the team made their way to the Rice Lake Speedway in Rice Lake, WI and after winning his Midwest Modified heat from 6th, he started 4th in the main and came home with a solid second place finish. In the Modifieds, he ran second in his heat race, but then started on the pole for the feature and lead from start to finish for his first career Modified feature victory. Sunday night, at the Eagle Valley Speedway in Jim Falls, WI, Michael won his Modified heat race from the pole and then came home with a fifth place finish in the main event, but the Midwest Modified event was the one he will remember for a long time. After suffering a mechanical failure in his heat race, he lined up 18th in the main event, and sliced his way forward, taking the lead and the victory in impressive fashion.
